The book is very funny and quite clever; the simplest, clearest and most enjoyable gambling book for novices and regular players to learn from.

This book goes through game play, step by step and explains things about poker including how to make the best of your poker hand.

Gambling Book Review “Extra Stuff: Gambling Rambling” by Peter Griffin is a collection of articles explaining some of the fine points of the mathematics of gambling. Some of the mathematical information presented is a little advanced, but this book is packed with advice. This is definitely not for the mathematically faint-of-heart or the novice gambler.

There is a lot of information about blackjack, poker, and video poker and analyses of various gambling games and strategies. It is recommended that you have a strong background in math to get the most out of this book. The writing is very high calibre and lots of work went into this book. Itís not for the average player but for someone with an interest in both mathematics and gambling.

The author makes a big point of talking about the fact that these are games of chance, not necessarily skill. Also useful for the advanced gambler; the point of view and many charts help the gambler along while pursuing that big win!
